The strategy by Crunchyroll and Sony to promote regional dubs significantly boosted earnings compared with the previous highest-grossing anime film, "Suzume," which was released with only Japanese and English versions and earned roughly INR 10 Crore.
"Infinity Castle" broke "Suzume's" earnings record with an INR 12.85 Crore opening on Friday. The movie grossed more than any previously released anime film in India and outperformed most Hollywood releases in 2025 on its opening weekend, earning INR 13.85 Crore on Sunday, according to Sacnilk, a box-office tracking website.
