- The anime fashion collab reflects the growing influence of anime IPs on global fashion and branded merchandise.
Converse and Japanese retailer ABC-Mart are teaming up with the anime Oshi no Ko on a limited-edition sneaker collection set to launch in Japan on Feb 13, 2026. The collection includes four different models inspired by characters from the series, with distinct design features and autographs.
As per the PR Times press release on Feb 6, 2026, the Oshi no Ko Converse collection will be available across ABC-Mart stores in Japan. Under the campaign, buyers will also receive a free acrylic stand of the character whose converse model they are purchasing.
The collection features specially styled versions of Converse’s ‘ALL STAR LIGHT PLTS’ model for the three main characters. These three models feature character-themed designs based on members of Oshi no Ko’s fictional idol group 'B-Komachi,' Hoshino Ruby, Arima Kana, and Mem-cho.
The fourth model uses the classic ALL STAR OX silhouette with a nod to Ichigo Production, the agency handling the B-Komachi idol group. While the fourth model is not associated with a character from the anime, it is represented by Ruby’s twin, Aqua (another central character of the anime’s narrative), on the acrylic stands and promotional photos.

Product Details of Oshi no Ko x Converse Collaboration
The collection lineup is the first collaboration between Converse and the Oshi no Ko IP. Oshi no Ko recently rose to fame for its portrayal of the dark side of idol culture. The anime started broadcasting in 2023, based on a manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari.
Each sneaker is a specially styled version of Converse, incorporating design elements tied to characters’ personalities. It incorporates satin laces, frills, and bold color schemes, along with branded logos and signature prints under the shoe tongue.
The Ruby model has a signature bow on the heel and pink satin laces, while Arima’s model adorns frills and a white color, reminiscent of her glow stick. The model based on Mem-cho utilizes a black and yellow palette, black laces, and a thick sole. It also has Mem-cho’s horn-shaped headband-inspired tongue label.
The Ichigo Productions Staff model features a dirt-resistant black silhouette and the tongue features back passes used by B-Komachi idols for live performances. Additionally, this model features three spare laces in pink, yellow, and white, resembling the glow sticks used to support all three members of B-Komachi.
All pairs include themed box packaging. The pairs are priced between ¥10,890 yen ($70.14 USD) to ¥13,200 ($85.02), including tax. With its February 2026 release, the Oshi no Ko Converse collection highlights how entertainment intellectual property is reshaping collaboration strategies in the fashion industry.
The timing is also strategic; Oshi no Ko season 3 is currently airing and has garnered massive attention from fans. The release window is during Valentine's week, which is usually noted for higher spending among young people.
