NVIDIA GeForce NOW is finally arriving in India later this year. In a recent community post on Reddit, the company officially announced its lineup of games for its cloud gaming service, along with an update for the Indian gaming community. Players from the community will soon be able to try out some of the latest games on NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service via local servers.
NVIDIA Confirms GeForce NOW Release in India
NVIDIA had originally revealed India as one of the target markets for its cloud gaming service at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. The launch was then moved to Q1 2026 due to server construction in the country. The company finally has an update for those eagerly waiting for the cloud gaming service.
In a recent community moderator post on Reddit, NVIDIA revealed, "We appreciate seeing the excitement for GeForce NOW in India. Work is progressing to bring the GeForce NOW experience to the region, with first availability expected before the end of our fiscal quarter in April."
NVIDIA has been actively testing the service in Mumbai, leading up to its imminent launch. The premium tiers of the cloud gaming service promise low-latency gameplay with smooth framerates, thanks to RTX 5080 graphics cards. The service also has a free tier that players can try out with limited functionality. It offers one-hour sessions supported by ads.
Why GeForce Now’s Launch Matters in India
India is one of the fastest-growing gaming markets in the world. It is a mobile-first demographic with affordable data plans. GeForce NOW’s entry into the Indian gaming market could introduce mobile gamers to a host of PC and console-quality titles. Since the service streams the games instead of running them natively, gamers can experience AAA titles even on entry-level smartphones.
What will determine GeForce NOW’s success in India is its pricing. Globally, NVIDIA offers its Performance plan at $9.99 per month for up to 2K gaming for up to six hours per session. The Ultimate plan is priced at $19.99 and offers up to 4K gaming at 240 FPS. There is a 100-hour monthly playtime limit on all paid plans.
If NVIDIA introduces competitive pricing plans for India through partnerships with Indian internet and telecom service providers, it could become a hit. The coming weeks will determine whether the company emerges as the country's number one cloud gaming service provider.
