They were later shared on Reddit’s r/GamingLeaksAndRumours by user anonymoususercake. The photographs show black boxes carrying the GTA VI logo and “Vice City Leonida” branding, with one image showing multiple boxes stacked on a pallet.
The alleged source, X user @Alexi0982, claimed to have spent roughly a month working in packaging production for Unique Services Group in Mexico. They also shared an employee badge identifying the company and said they had not signed an NDA before leaving the job.
According to the source, the box is larger than PS5 packaging and contains several internal sections. They recalled seeing a circular area that could accommodate a disc, while later acknowledging that it might not actually be intended for one.
The alleged leaker also described the interior as more colorful than the exterior.
GTA VI Packaging Leak Fuels Speculation Over Its Purpose
The source claimed the packages were being distributed to markets worldwide and suggested the edition could launch after the game, with production ending in November 2026. The claim has led to speculation about whether the boxes are intended for retail or another form of distribution.

Some fans on X suggested the packaging could contain digital codes, while others theorized that the boxes might be promotional packages for influencers and celebrities.
However, Rockstar has only confirmed that GTA VI will launch on Nov. 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with physical copies containing a download code instead of a game disc. If no disc is included, the packaging could prove to be another PR move from Rockstar, keeping GTA VI in the spotlight ahead of launch.
