Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) will require up to 212GB of storage for pre-loading on PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Games confirmed the pre-load schedule on Nov 3, 2026, giving players time to prepare for launch.
GTA VI Pre-Load Schedule and Regional Timings
PS5 pre-loading starts at midnight on Nov 10, 2026, in each player's local time zone, while Xbox Series X|S downloads begin globally at 12 am Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Regional Xbox timings are:
- North America: 4 pm Pacific Standard Time (PST), 5 pm Mountain Standard Time (MST), 6 pm Central Standard Time (CST), and 7 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Nov 9.
- U.K. and Ireland: 12 am GMT.
- Europe: 1 am Central European Time (CET) and 2 am Eastern European Time (EET).
- Asia and Oceania: 9 am Japan Standard Time (JST), 8 am Australian Western Standard Time (AWST), and 11 am Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
- India: 5:30 am Indian Standard Time (IST).
Code-in-box versions will reach retailers from Nov 12.

Players can pre-order through the PlayStation Store or participating retailers.
The Ultimate Edition includes additional weapons, vehicles, and apparel tied to Jason and Lucia's story. PlayStation users should also verify their account credentials before launch.
Rockstar's website features an extended look, radio station previews, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album singles, the Only in Leonida section, and edition details.
On Nov 19, players can download the cover art and Leonida map for free. The Rockstar Store will also offer a double-sided physical poster for $0.99 USD or include it for free with any purchase.
The game unlocks at midnight local time.
