Highlights
- Tomb Raider King is set to fill the Solo Leveling void with its July 2026 anime debut.
- STUDIO EEK features a top-tier voice cast including Yoshimasa Hosoya and Saori Hayami.
- The series follows Seo Joo-heon on a ruthless mission to hoard powerful ancient relics.
It has been nearly a full year since Solo Leveling dropped its explosive Season 2 finale, and the utter silence surrounding Season 3 has left fans desperate for their next power-fantasy fix. With producers offering only vague teases and the sequel manhwa, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, currently on hiatus, the hype for the franchise has undeniably started to quiet down. Fortunately, a replacement has already emerged to claim the empty throne: Tomb Raider King.
Stepping up at the perfect time to fill the void, the Tomb Raider King anime adaptation is steadily inching closer to its big premiere in July 2026. Brushing aside early copycat allegations, Tomb Raider King is looking better than ever. The series' official X handle and website recently dropped a brand-new character teaser that arguably outshines the initial sneak peek unveiled in January.
Produced by South Korean animation powerhouse STUDIO EEK, the anime also revealed a striking new key visual alongside the trailer, featuring the protagonist, Seo Joo-heon, surrounded by mysterious relics.
A Star-Studded Voice Cast Revealed
The latest teaser gives fans a much better look at the heavy-hitting Japanese voice cast brought on to bring this gripping story to life. As reported by ScreenRant, the confirmed voice cast includes:
- Yoshimasa Hosoya (Reiner in Attack on Titan) as Seo Joo-heon (Ryoga Goriki in the Japanese dub)
- Saori Hayami (Yor in Spy x Family) as Irene Holton
- Junichi Suwabe as Kwon Tae-joon
- Miyu Irino as Yoo Jae-ha
- Nobuhiko Okamoto as Oh Seug-woo
More Than Just a Solo Leveling Clone
When the first teaser dropped a few months ago, it caused quite a stir by prompting immediate comparisons to Solo Leveling. It makes perfect sense why: both power fantasies originated as massive webtoons produced by Redice Studio. Because of these similarities, they feature striking visual similarities, familiar enemy aesthetics, and an addictive zero-to-hero progression loop.
However, when you dig into the details, Tomb Raider King carves out its own distinct identity. Instead of standard dungeon crawling, the premise is entirely centered around revenge, regression, and relics.
After being brutally betrayed by his employers in a world where mysterious tombs grant extraordinary abilities, Joo-heon is left for dead—only to miraculously wake up 15 years in the past. Armed with future knowledge of every tomb location, he begins a ruthless quest to hoard the world's relics and exact his revenge. Whether it intended to or not, Tomb Raider King is preparing to swoop right in and give action fans exactly what they have been craving this summer.
