  • Nazara sees GTA VI and international gaming franchises as major growth opportunities.
  • Acquisitions and AI-led development are set to expand Nazara's gaming portfolio and output.
  • India's mobile-led gaming market reached $1.04B in 2025, with further growth expected in 2026.

Nazara Technologies is expanding its gaming portfolio through acquisitions and AI-led development, seeking to benefit from the expected boost from GTA VI. Founder and managing director of Nazara Technologies Limited, Nitish Mittersain, also sees international gaming franchises and India's mobile market as important growth opportunities.

Speaking to NDTV Profit, Mittersain said established international franchises represent a “massive opportunity” for Nazara. He cited GTA V, which he said generated around $10B USD globally, and expects GTA VI to make a larger impact on the gaming industry.

Acquisitions Strengthen Nazara's Gaming Portfolio

Nazara's latest acquisitions are scheduled to be integrated into NODWIN Gaming in the second quarter (Q2), with the company focused on creating synergies across its gaming ecosystem. Mittersain remains optimistic about earnings following the acquisitions and stated that NODWIN is growing revenue while remaining profitable.

AI is also changing the economics of game development, according to Mittersain. He pointed out that developers can create games faster and at lower costs, allowing companies to increase development output.

Nazara will continue pursuing acquisitions while developing new games and expanding its portfolio.

Mobile Gaming Drives India's Market Growth

Nazara is continuing to assess India's gaming market, particularly mobile gaming. The focus comes as Niko Partners reports that India's gaming market generated $1.04B in 2025, up 14.8% year-over-year (YoY), with mobile growth helping drive the expansion. The market is projected to approach $1.2B in 2026.

Mittersain expects India's current gaming “headwinds” to eventually become “tailwinds,” giving companies such as Nazara further opportunities in the domestic market.
