However, purchases are still redirected to the company’s website. Available across several key global markets, the app brings a mobile-friendly interface that complements Nintendo’s web storefront while adding unique features tailored to fan engagement.
Nintendo App Allows Gamers To Review Their Activity History
One standout feature of the new Nintendo app is the built-in play activity tracker, which allows users signing in with their Nintendo Account to review their gaming history. This spans multiple console generations, including the Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and legacy systems such as Nintendo 3DS and Wii U (with data recorded until February 2020). This nostalgic functionality lets players track playtime milestones, revisit favorites, and see their gaming patterns in depth.
The app also serves as a news hub, delivering updates on the latest Nintendo games, hardware, events, and promotions. Fans can create and maintain wish lists, with push notifications triggering when items go on sale or are restocked. Additional interactive features include the ability to check in at Nintendo stores and official events, earning rewards connected to the broader “My Nintendo” ecosystem.
