The Dragon Ball franchise is set to return with Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, a Dragon Ball Super remake that is expected to reintroduce fans to the Battle of Gods storyline in Fall 2026. Toei Animation announced Beerus at the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event in Japan in January 2026.
The remake focuses on Beerus, the God of Destruction, whose arrival transformed Dragon Ball’s power scaling. While the remake will initially focus on the Battle of Gods cast, the wider Dragon Ball Super manga and anime have dramatically expanded the series’ hierarchy over the past decade.
