Highlights

  • Crunchyroll is bringing the ANI-MAY Party & Drone Show, a special, limited-entry event in Mumbai, India.
  • Fan engagement strategy focuses on immersive, community-led experiences following Comic Con Mumbai 2026 momentum.
  • Global Ani-May campaign highlights Crunchyroll’s push into experiential anime marketing across key international markets.

Following the culmination of Comic Con Mumbai, Crunchyroll is bringing another Ani-May limited-entry event: ANI-MAY Party & Drone Show. It is scheduled for May 29, as a one-night celebration, in Bandra West, Mumbai.

Crunchyroll’s drone show will feature an immersive anime party, including cosplays and a synchronized drone light show tied to anime franchises.

ANI-MAY Party & Drone Show is not a public event; Crunchyroll has positioned it as an invite-only activation. According to the streamer’s disclosure, after interested participants fill out a registration form, selected people will be notified directly via email. The show will start at 6:30 pm IST.

Crunchyroll Targets Community-Led Engagement in India

ANI-MAY Party & Drone Show follows the live-event momentum of Mumbai Comic Con 2026 (May 9-10). It already brought experiences tied to popular anime, including ONE PIECE, Solo Leveling, and Suzume. Many industry professionals like Taito Ban, Atsushi Kaneko, and Rajesh Shukla joined the program.

The late May Mumbai drone show will be completely fan-facing, including live music, themed activations, exclusive merchandise, and giveaways. The drone lighting show will take place over the Mumbai skyline for an immersive addition to the evening.

The exclusive Mumbai drone show coincides with Crunchyroll’s broader celebratory programmes across the world in May for Ani-May celebrations. The company has been running themed promotions, streaming campaigns, and retail collaborations globally throughout the month to capitalize on the anime-event economy.
