HYBE launches Next New Creator producer auditions for its 2026 cycle, initiating a massive global talent search to secure its next generation of sound architects. The move marks a structural evolution for the entertainment conglomerate behind global acts like BTS and Seventeen, as it shifts from subsidiary-led hiring towards a consolidated corporate talent pipeline.
The HYBE global pop music producer competition pools its five major divisions under the HYBE Music Group banner: Big Hit Music, PLEDIS Entertainment, BELIFT LAB, HYBE Japan, and Tokyo-based YX Labels. Although earlier campaigns were managed by the sublabels individually, this centralized Next New Creator 2026 search aligns with the company’s broader “multi-home, multi-genre” strategy. Notably, Big Hit Music hosted the 2021 and 2023 iterations, while BELIFT LAB led the 2025 edition.
HYBE Producer Audition 2026: Eligibility, Demo Rules and Application Process
As per HYBE’s Next New Creator application guide, the K-pop producer audition is open to creators aged 19 or older worldwide, irrespective of gender or prior background in the music industry. The online application window opens on July 14 at 10 am KST and ends on August 12 at 2 pm KST.
Candidates seeking this high-profile HYBE producer opportunity must complete a demo submission encompassing two to five original tracks. The tracks must showcase a strong understanding of global music trends, alongside a comprehensive breakdown of composition credits. As per the rules, mobile digital audio workstation (DAW) files are barred from submission.
Most importantly, the mandate enforces an absolute ban on AI usage during the HYBE producer application process. The company will utilize specialized in-house software to detect and disqualify any AI-generated submissions, highlighting the requirement for raw human composition for its K-pop producer recruitment drive.
HYBE Music Producer Opportunity: Support Fund and Career Path
Finalists who advance through the screening rounds and subsequent song camps of the HYBE global producer search will get a creative support fund of ₩5 million (~ $3,323.54 USD). Additionally, they can also get an opportunity to secure long-term music producer jobs as in-house creators like ADORA, who entered the inaugural 2016 search and went on to become a core part of the conglomerate.
The winners may have a chance to work with HYBE’s existing groups or new artists, since the label is moving into several new ventures like the Girls Archive, ABD labels, amongst others. As global competition deepens, this exhaustive recruitment of new HYBE music producers via a contest, acts as a strategic moat to secure the label group's dominant market share.
