According to reports from Korea JoongAng Daily, instant noodle giant Nongshim recreated its "Han River noodle experience," letting visitors taste Korea's fiery streetside flavors. Culinary Class Wars Chef Brings Korean Flavors to LA Amidst K-sports, K-Beauty Showcase
Interestingly, celebrity chef Song Hoon, known from Netflix's Culinary Class Wars, joined actor Ryu Soo-young to present Korean cuisine. The chef prepared hoe gimbap and flatfish tartare tacos paired with fried seaweed, which the locals reportedly enjoyed. "When I see foreigners smiling brightly after tasting Korean food, I feel really empowered," Ryu told Korea JoongAng Daily. "I will continuously connect Korean food with the rest of the world."
Furthermore, The Korea Football Association installed a replica of the national team's locker room, while the Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute provided personal color analysis and makeup consultations, thereby promoting K-beauty on a global level.
Jay Park and P1Harmony Headline K-pop Shows at the Expo
At Peacock Theater, about 6,000 fans watched Jay Park, P1Harmony, and rookie group LNGSHOT perform along with American artists Jaydon and Paradise. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass personally presented certificates of appreciation to the performers, acknowledging K-content's role in revitalizing local communities and intensifying the city's cultural fabric.
K-Expo Expands Korea’s Global Cultural Reach
KOCCA’s interim director, Yoo Hyun-seok, noted that, "K-content is embedding into everyday life globally, evolving beyond a mere cultural phenomenon." In an effort to popularize this content globally, this exposition will next move to Paris in June, then Mexico City in September. The event takes place as global K-pop giants like BTS hit the touring circuit and Stray Kids prepare to launch their own Latin America-oriented festival. With all these factors into play, it is now clear that Korea's cultural export is no longer chasing global attention; it is rather amplifying it.
