Code Geass Knightmare Survivor: New Code Geass Mobile Game Expands 20th Anniversary Offerings
Code Geass Knightmare Survivor announcement fits into the broad 20th anniversary celebration campaign for the Code Geass franchise. Under the Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year campaign, Sunrise has lined up multiple new projects, including a new anime (Code Geass: Hoshi Oi no Aspal) and a crossover manga with Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
The new game differs from the previous Code Geass mobile gaming titles, which focused on story-based progression. Knightmare Survivor follows a battle-strategy format, seen in many anime-based games. Players will train characters and KMFs, and use them strategically to win in battles.
The first Code Geass mobile game, Code Geass: Genesic Re; Code, which was a gacha RPG, launched in October 2021 and shut down in April 2023 after a short run. The 2022 title by DMM Games and f4Samurai, Code Geass: Lost Stories, was a social game that featured a new story and voice acting.
Knightmare Survivor’s survivor action format often serves as an alternative to the gacha-heavy anime-inspired game models, which might have weighed down Genesic Re; Code. However, many details about the game remain undisclosed, including a firm launch date and global rollout plans.
