COD Black Ops 7 Pre-Orders Go Live With Two Editions
Activision Blizzard is banking on tiered pricing and cross-platform distribution to drive pre-launch sales
- Black Ops 7 launches with pre-orders live on PlayStation Store India, Xbox Store India.
- Wall Jumps expand Omnimovement, and global XP now links Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies progression.
- PC requires Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 for RICOCHET anti-cheat, and earlier weapons do not carry over.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is launching with a multifaceted monetization and distribution strategy as developer Treyarch and publisher Activision Blizzard work to drive pre-orders ahead of the game's November release. The title introduces tiered pricing, beta access incentives and cross-platform availability designed to maximize revenue across casual and dedicated player segments.
Black Ops 7 Pre-Order Pricing and Release Date
The game releases Nov. 14, 2025, on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X and PC in markets including India. Activision Blizzard is running a beta test from Oct. 2 through Oct. 8 as part of its pre-launch marketing campaign, with early access beginning Oct. 2 and an open beta starting Oct. 5.
In India, pre-orders are available through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, Battle.net and Xbox platforms. The company is offering two pricing tiers: a Cross-Gen Edition at INR 5,999 and a premium Vault Edition at INR 8,249. The Vault Edition bundle includes early beta access, operator and Mastercraft packs, an Ultra GobbleGum Pack, a Permanent Unlock Token and one season of BlackCell premium content.
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Monetization and Battle Pass System
Black Ops 7 introduces a unified global XP system that connects its Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies modes, allowing progress in any mode to count toward unlocks and Battle Pass tiers. This cross-mode progression system is designed to increase player engagement across the game's different offerings and extend session times, which directly impacts Battle Pass completion rates and potential in-game purchases.
The game launches with 30 weapons, including 16 new designs. The Overclock system enables mid-match upgrades, while Build Codes allow players to share weapon configurations. These features could support future monetization through weapon blueprints and customization options.
Notably, weapons and most cosmetic content from Black Ops 6 won't transfer to the new game, with only minor items such as Double XP tokens or GobbleGums potentially carrying over.
Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Maps and Wall Jump Feature
Black Ops 7 will feature 18 multiplayer maps at launch, with six included in the beta for testing. The maps include two Skirmish maps designed for 20-vs.-20 matches, addressing player feedback about queue times in large-scale modes.
The game reintroduces wall jumping through its Omnimovement system, a scaled-back version of the wall-running feature from Black Ops III. Players can chain up to three jumps, with each successive jump losing momentum. Treyarch says the design choice balances competitive depth with accessibility for casual players who represent the broader market opportunity.
With these features, Black Ops 7 represents Activision Blizzard's latest effort to balance premium pricing, subscription integration and ongoing monetization while maintaining the franchise's appeal across both casual and competitive player segments. How the market responds to the tiered pricing structure and content reset will indicate the company's pricing power in an increasingly crowded shooter market.
