Garena Announces Free Fire MAX Asia Invitational 2025

Singapore-based video game company Garena has announced Free Fire MAX Asia Invitational 2025, slated to run from Dec. 5-21, 2025. The tournament, positioned as the publisher’s largest Free Fire MAX esports event in Asia, will feature the best squads from India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and other Southeast Asian countries. 

The tournament expands Garena’s 2025 competitive roadmap for Free Fire MAX, with a regional focus following the consolidation of Southeast Asian markets. As per the report, the competition will be hosted on the Singapore server to ensure frictionless gameplay.

Asia Invitational 2025 Overview

According to Garena’s announcement, the Invitational will feature both Clash Squad and Battle Royale formats, maintaining parity with the structure used in regional qualifiers earlier this year. Garena will confirm the exact roster and format for the tournament in the upcoming days. According to SportsDunia, the prize pool is estimated at $50K, though Garena has not formally confirmed the figure.

Apart from India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, the Asia Invitational 2025 brings together four more Asian nations: Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, and Vietnam, within its esports ecosystem. The exact list of invitees and the criteria for selecting a team are yet to be disclosed. 

Team selection will be based on their recent achievements in national-level competitions. The best nine performers from Tez Free Fire Max India Cup 2025 and Team Elite from Lidoma Free Fire Asia Invitational are reportedly participating in the invitational. Well-known squads like Revenant X Spark, Godlike, Team Tycoons (now Olympians), S8UL Esports (now Headhunters), and the like will clash against top-performing Free Fire MAX international teams. 

Matches will be broadcast in multiple regional languages, with organizers signalling a wider distribution push to maximize participation and viewership across Asia. Per Liquipedia, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok will livestream the matches in eight different languages.

The Free Fire MAX Asia Invitational 2025 underscores Garena’s intention to strengthen its footprint across Asia’s mobile esports markets, following Krafton’s footsteps to expand BGMI esports in this region. With an exciting prize pool and deep competitive circuit, the publisher is betting on Asian markets to drive engagement, viewership, and ecosystem stability.
