Red Bull has confirmed that the Battle Ground Mobile India (BGMI) tournament, Solo Legends, will stage its National Final at Mumbai’s Royal Opera House on Dec. 2. The Mumbai event will conclude weeks of nationwide qualifiers, and represents the brand’s most ambitious staging for the Solo Legends property.

The finale brings together 64 players: 32 online qualifiers, 24 professional athletes, and 8 invited “Chaos Agents,” competing across five matches for the national title. According to Red Bull, the winner will be crowned as the best solo BGMI player of the country and will take part in a Red Bull Racing experience.

Built between 1909 and 1915, Mumbai’s Royal Opera House is the country’s sole surviving opera house, typically known for hosting movie screenings and music festivals. However, with Red Bull Solo Legends finals, this heritage venue will host an esports event for the first time.

Details of the Red Bull Solo Legends National Final

Solo Legends follows a strict solo-competition structure, positioning individual skill at the centre of its format rather than the squad-based setups typical of BGMI esports. Jonathan Amaral from Jonathan Gaming stated Red Bull Solo Legends as the perfect stage for showcasing individual skills to “prove what they can do without relying on a team.”

The format of the tournament blends grassroots accessibility with top-tier competition. Online qualifiers will be progressing through a nationwide multi-stage process (regional qualifiers and finals), while professionals like the “Chaos Agents” were selected based on performance and relevance within the BGMI circuit.

Apart from Jonathan Amaral, the tournament will include India’s other top BGMI athletes such as Ashutosh “Punk” Singh, Tanishk “Admino” Singh, Raghuraj “Slug” Singh, and Sahil ‘Omega‘ Jakhar, among others.

The event also demonstrates a shift toward venue-led brand activations. Red Bull’s selection of the Royal Opera House underscores how brands are increasingly pursuing heritage or luxury venues for tournaments and events, such as the Call of Duty Championship Europe Regional Final at London’s Royal Opera House and the Assassin's Creed Mirage showcase in Hawaii’s Shangri La Museum.

For the finals, Red Bull will open limited tickets via Swiggy Scenes, while the full competition will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel.
