Fat Rat Games Debuts to Build Roblox Titles and Aid Creators

Fat Rat Games has launched as a new Roblox studio focused on developing games and supporting emerging creators. Earlier this week, chief business officer (CBO) Björn Videler confirmed the studio’s debut on LinkedIn. The company was founded by long-time Roblox developers, with Videler joining after five years in business development and developer relations at Gamefam.

Previously, Videler spent more than seven years as a team leader at Dirk van den Broek in the Netherlands and has operated PrimeGame Consultancy since founding it in 2020.

Fat Rat Games Expands With Breakout Hits and Creator Programs

The studio has introduced ‘Fat Rat Labs,’ an initiative designed to invest in and guide new developers. Its debut project, Break a Friend, has passed 10K concurrent users. The team also highlighted Forsaken, which has surpassed 1M concurrent users under the Fat Rat Games umbrella, while a partnership with Build Anything helped the title reach 20K concurrent users.

Videler said the studio is “built by creators who were born and raised on the platform,” adding that the mission is to build strong games by collaborating with developers and supporting new creators.

The company positions its launch as part of a broader shift within Roblox, where established teams are creating more formal support structures for developers. With early traction across multiple titles, Fat Rat Games enters the market aiming to strengthen the creator pipeline and contribute to the platform’s next wave of projects.
