Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor Confirms Global Launch for 2026

Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Survivor, a new mobile game based on the Hunter x Hunter franchise, has confirmed a global launch on Feb 17, 2026. The game’s official social media account announced on Dec 19, 2025, that the title will release for iOS and Android in 2026, marking the franchise’s latest push into the international mobile games market.

Published by Bushiroad Inc. and developed by WonderPlanet Inc., Nen x Survivor was first announced in Oct 2025. The title is framed as a free-to-play survival action title that adapts the franchise’s Nen combat system into a mobile-first format. Along with the global release update, an original game movie was confirmed, positioned as the opening lore for the game’s narrative.

The movie is reported to feature new animation, possibly a narrative not shown in the anime adaptation; however, the release date for the movie hasn’t been announced yet. Apart from the movie, the publisher intends to promote the new title at the NenSaba booth at Jump Festa 2026 in Tokyo. The promotional event for pre-registration is slated for Dec 21, 2025.

The upcoming Bushiroad title features one-hand control and relatively simple, intuitive gameplay optimization. Players can get infinite builds through “Party” x  “Skills” x “Strategy,” for their characters during the multiple stages of the game. 

The gameplay narrative lets the player control their chosen characters (SNS icons) to defeat escalating enemy waves, while unlocking randomized abilities tied to Nen attributes. While the simple controlling system is used to attract a wide range of players, the ‘boss battles’ feature facilitates a variety of gimmicks to create tense combat situations, closely following the Hunter x Hunter franchise.

The pre-registration for Nen x Survivor starts on Dec 20, with multiple perks for early registration. The official pre-release noted that with each pre-registration milestone, a new benefit will be unlocked for registrants. 

Once pre-registration exceeds 50K, a total of five SNS icons— Killua, Gon, Hisoka, Kurapika, and Leorio— will be unlocked. After 100K, 1K nemesis stones will become available. Additionally, with pre-registration milestones hitting 200K and 300K, players can get an original wallpaper and an S Memory Scene, titled ‘The Beginning of the Adventure,’ respectively.

The global launch of Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor underscores the growing popularity of anime and manga-based games in the global gaming market. The Hunter x Hunter franchise started with Yoshihiro Togashi’s manga in 1998 and shortly became one of Shonen Jump’s most internationally recognized anime brands after the anime adaptation started circulating. Bushiroad’s previous Hunter x Hunter title, Hunter × Hunter Nen × Impact, released in July 2025, had moderate engagement with around $312k gross revenue.
