  • Mobile Legends developer MOONTON is now selling its esports broadcast rights.
  • It appointed Redd+E to manage rights for Southeast Asia and the M7 World Championship.
  • This move aims to build a sustainable, global media network for the sport.

MOONTON Games, the developer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), has announced a major strategic shift by appointing Redd+E as its first-ever official broadcast rights reseller. This landmark deal, announced on November 13, 2025, covers all MLBB Professional League (MPL) territories in Southeast Asia and the upcoming M7 World Championship. This move signals the developer's plan to build a global, sustainable media network for its popular esports title.

This partnership marks a significant change in strategy for MOONTON Games, which has historically managed all its production and broadcasting in-house, making the content freely available on platforms like YouTube and Twitch.

By appointing the Singapore-based esports media agency Redd+E, MOONTON is moving to commercialise its broadcast rights and develop new revenue streams, a model more commonly seen in traditional sports. This is the first time MLBB has ever announced a broadcast rights partnership.

Partnership Covers MPL Southeast Asia and M7 World Championship

As part of the agreement, Redd+E will manage and sell broadcast packages for all MPL leagues across Southeast Asia, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Singapore. The deal also includes the upcoming M7 World Championship, scheduled to take place in Indonesia from January 3rd to 25th, 2026, with a $1 million prize pool.

According to Esports Charts, MLBB esports content generated an impressive 475 million hours watched in 2024, placing it among the most-watched esports properties in the world. The Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2024 further highlighted this, peaking at over 2.38 million concurrent viewers.

The game itself remains a global powerhouse, with MOONTON reporting over 1.5 billion total installations and 110 million monthly active users. With Southeast Asia accounting for 61% of the title's total lifetime revenue, this deal strategically positions MLBB to leverage its large fan base as the global esports audience is expected to exceed 640 million in 2025.

Building a Sustainable Global Sport

Adrian Cher, Global Head of Partnerships at MOONTON Games, stated that this collaboration marks the "first step toward a larger vision for MLBB Esports—one where it is as accessible and commercially compelling to partners as any global sport."

He added that with "more than 1.5bn installations and 110m active monthly users worldwide," MLBB has "huge potential to scale this broadcast framework into other regions where MLBB has thriving communities, from the Middle East to Europe to Latin America and beyond."

Yip Ren Kai, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Redd+E, added that the partnership will help unlock new revenue for esports IP owners, including MOONTON and the teams. "By connecting MLBB with broadcasters and media partners across Southeast Asia, we are driving new commercial pathways that will enhance sustainability, audience growth, and long-term value for the entire ecosystem," he said.

Redd+E has previously worked with partners such as BLAST Premier, the International Paralympic Committee, and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).
