NoScope Gaming’s NCC 2026 Sets Stage for College MOBA Growth
NCC 2026 shows how campus esports is becoming a major grassroots growth channel for MOBA publishers.
Highlights
- Padhaku Sena won NCC 2026 as NoScope Gaming wrapped its biggest college MOBA event yet.
- The tournament featured 85+ teams across 400+ colleges through LAN and online qualifiers.
- Moonton, Vizta Games, and Honor of Kings (HoK) are expanding their campus esports push in India.
NoScope Gaming has concluded the MOBA Legends 5v5 National College Cup (NCC) 2026 in Guwahati, marking its biggest collegiate esports tournament to date. Held at Cotton University on June 17, 2026, the finals brought together six teams from across India after a nationwide qualification circuit. This capped the first NCC edition to operate on a full pan-India scale.
Under the tagline, A New Legacy Begins, NCC 2026 significantly expanded its footprint this year. The tournament combined physical and online qualifiers across the country:
- Five LAN qualifiers in Amaravati, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, and Guwahati.
- Eight regional online qualifiers across all zones.
- Over 85 college teams in competition.
- Reach across 400+ colleges nationwide.
The event also marked the first collaboration between Vizta Games, Moonton, and NoScope Gaming, bringing MOBA Legends 5v5 into India’s collegiate esports system. For the publishers (Moonton and Vizta Games), the partnership places the title inside an established student esports ecosystem (NoScope Gaming’s), aiming to strengthen its competitive standing in the country.

NoScope Gaming stated that its long-running University Esports Championship (UEC) laid the groundwork for the expansion, with years of campus-level tournament operations helping scale NCC into a national property. The company reported more than 1.75M views and impressions across social platforms during the tournament.
The six teams that reached the national finals represented every major region:
- North Zone: Padhaku Sena
- West Zone: Celestial Titans
- East Zone: Hook By Chance
- South Zone: Team Bang Bang
- North East Zone: Doom Walkers; Team Spens
Each finalist competed in custom regional jerseys, adding a distinct identity to the national stage.

The finals followed a double-elimination format, ending with a best-of-three grand final. Padhaku Sena from the North Zone won the championship, while player Akshat “Peekaboo” Jaiswal secured the tournament’s most valuable player (MVP) award. Final placements were:
- Champion: Padhaku Sena
- Runner-up: Hook By Chance
- 3rd Place: Celestial Titans
- 4th Place: Doom Walkers
“NCC 2026 is the result of years of building the right foundation for collegiate esports in India,” said Abhinandan Mukherjee, Head of NoScope Gaming, pointing to the scale of qualifiers and college participation this year.
The Guwahati finals also reflect NoScope Gaming’s growing focus on India’s Northeast. With local wildcard slots for Doom Walkers and Team Spens, the company has signaled that the region will play a larger role in its future collegiate esports roadmap.
NCC 2026’s scale and nationwide structure show how collegiate esports is becoming a serious grassroots growth channel for mobile MOBA publishers in India. That approach is already influencing the wider market, with Honor of Kings (HoK) India also looking to enter the same space. In an interview with Outlook Respawn, a HoK spokesperson disclosed that the company is planning the Honor of Kings Campus Series (HOKCS) as a student-focused initiative to expand its reach from India’s grassroots gaming audience.
