The strategic agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on Thursday at the 30th CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam.
The signing ceremony, attended by the Minister of Municipal Administration & Urban Development, P. Narayana, marks a pivotal shift in the state’s digital ambitions to nurture the next generation of tech talent.
NoScope Gaming Drives World-Class Infrastructure & Innovation
Located in the capital city of Amaravati, the proposed facility is being developed with a distinct dual purpose to serve both the entertainment and technology sectors. Primarily, it will function as a state-of-the-art arena designed to meet rigorous global standards, capable of hosting large-scale, international competitive gaming events.
Beyond the lights of the main stage, the project features a dedicated Tech Innovation Center. This incubator is designed specifically to foster the growth of startups, support emerging gaming technologies, and provide a launchpad for young creators in the region.
This infrastructure push aligns perfectly with the broader vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh to position Amaravati as a futuristic, technology-driven capital. With the government currently expediting infrastructure projects with a three-year completion target, this arena is set to become a cornerstone of the city’s identity as a "smart hub."
The collaboration highlights a shared commitment between the private sector and the state to drive youth empowerment and digital innovation.
Leadership Commitment & Vision
The leadership at NoScope Gaming expressed strong optimism following the summit. Ravi Achanta, CEO of NoScope Gaming, praised the government’s proactive approach, noting the impressive commitment and clear intent shown by the state leadership. He described the partnership as a significant step forward that provides a future-ready roadmap for the ecosystem.
Echoing this sentiment, Abhinandan Mukherjee, Project Head at NoScope Gaming, emphasized that presenting the MoU to Minister P. Narayana in person made the moment meaningful. He noted that this project is poised to create opportunities for aspiring gamers and tech talent across Andhra Pradesh at a scale that was previously only imagined.
The timing of this development is critical as the Indian esports industry experiences exceptional growth. Market data indicate that the sector is projected to reach a value of ₹11 billion by FY2025.
The player base is expected to hit 1.5 million this year, while the audience for esports tournaments, currently sitting at 17 million, is forecast to expand to over 85 million unique viewers by 2025. By establishing this centre now, Andhra Pradesh is strategically positioning itself to capture a significant share of this booming economy.
NoScope Gaming is already a recognised force in the industry, best known for developing India’s largest collegiate esports framework through the University Esports Championship (UEC).
The organization has previously made headlines with a strategic partnership with the Government of Kerala, pledging ₹350 crore to develop similar infrastructure, cementing its reputation as a leader in blending competitive gaming with skill development.
