PGL Unveils Full 2027-2028 Tier 1 CS2 Tournament Schedule, Mapping 15 Events Across the Competitive Season

PGL, a Romanian esports organizer, has announced its full Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) event schedule for 2027 and 2028. The calendar includes seven events in 2027 and eight in 2028, running from January through November across multiple locations.

In 2027, tournaments will run from Jan. 15 to Oct. 18, including the English broadcast of the CS Asia Championship from Aug. 17 to 29. The 2028 season spans Jan. 14 to Nov. 13, with eight Tier 1 events. In total, PGL will host 15 top-tier CS2 tournaments over the two-year period.

In a release, PGL said the events “reinforce PGL’s commitment to delivering top-tier esports experiences and add even more excitement to the 2027 competitive calendar,” highlighting the scale of its planned competitions.

PGL Setting Stage for 2027-2028 Competitive Season

The announcement follows prior PGL reveals, including PGL Astana 2026, set for May 7 to 18, with a $1.6m (~£1.2m) prize pool at Barys Arena. The schedule aligns with Valve’s Tournament Operation Rulebook, which standardizes planning among major CS2 organizers.

Other organizers have also revealed future CS2 events. BLAST published its 2026-2027 BLAST Premier calendar, ESL announced six Tier 1 events for its 2028 Pro Tour, and the Esports World Cup confirmed a CS2 event in 2027, indicating the growing coordination and structure in the CS2 competitive scene.

By unveiling its Tier 1 CS2 calendar for 2027 and 2028, PGL provides clarity for teams, players, and fans while supporting the expansion of Counter-Strike 2 esports, positioning PGL as a central organizer in the global CS2 competitive ecosystem over the next two years.
