Highlights
- PUBG MOBILE’s new update reintroduces an upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen crossover.

- The update also adds new gameplay features and skins.
Level Infinite’s PUBG MOBILE has introduced a new collaboration with anime franchise Jujutsu Kaisen as part of the game’s upcoming Version 4.3 update. The official X account announced the collaboration on March 5, expanding the battle royale’s long-running strategy of anime-driven in-game events.
The collaboration, scheduled for March 13, teased the return of characters and themed gameplay elements tied to Gege Akutami’s JJK. The crossover will arrive one day after the 4.3 update rollout starts on March 12.
While the company has yet to reveal the full scope of the JJK collaboration, the post suggests the update will integrate Jujutsu Kaisen-themed cosmetics and limited-time events tied to the franchise’s supernatural combat setting.
PUBG MOBILE Doubles Down on JJK Collaborations
PUBG MOBILE × Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration was first teased in 2021 for players outside Japan. The collaboration finally dropped in February 2022, for one month.
The 2022 JJK collaboration introduced anime-inspired character skins, rewards, and new gameplay mechanics tied to characters such as Yuji Itadori, Gojo Satoru, and Megumi Fushiguro. The current collab update mentions the return of this collaboration, but the publisher and the game committee are yet to announce the full details.
The previous events also featured special modes and a themed emote, blending battle royale gameplay with “the cursed world of Jujutsu Kaisen.” Players can expect a similar structure for the upcoming PUBG MOBILE × Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration. The poster featured two main antagonists, Ryomen Sukuna and Kenjaku, raising the speculation that these character skins might be added in the collab rollout.
Anime crossovers have increasingly become a common engagement strategy across the gaming industry. Major titles, including Fortnite, Free Fire, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows, have partnered with popular anime IPs to drive players and increase monetization through limited-time cosmetics and events. Apart from JJK, PUBG MOBILE has previously collaborated with Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter, and Spy x Family IPs, among others.
Beyond the JJK collaboration, the PUBG MOBILE 4.3 update is expected to introduce additional gameplay features and seasonal content, including a Temporal Vault Gameplay, Gilt Sets, Phoenixtra and Blood Raven X suits, a cleaner User Index (UI), and the like. Tencent has not yet detailed the full content roadmap for Version 4.3, but the inclusion of another high-profile anime crossover aligning with the 8th Anniversary update hints that such collaborations might become central to PUBG MOBILE’s ongoing live-service content strategy.
