BTS dominates the global charts as tracks from their album 'ARIRANG' occupy multiple top positions simultaneously.
BTS Scores Historic Double Top 5 on Billboard Global Excl US Chart
The latest Billboard rankings highlight the staying power of ARIRANG as the group's global reach continues to expand beyond South Korea and the US.
Highlights
- BTS achieves a rare dual-chart achievement with two songs at the same time and dominates Billboard's global rankings.
- While Swim continues its strong chart run, Come Over makes an impact through a successful digital release strategy.
- The latest Billboard rankings showcase the evolving momentum of sports anthems, highlighted by FIFA World Cup songs from Shakira-Burna Boy, and Jungkook.
South Korean giant BTS has broadened its historic run on the Billboard charts, gaining two simultaneous positions in the Global Excl US top five. As per Billboard data released on June 22, the group’s track Come Over entered the chart at No. 5, earning BTS its 21st top-10 entry. Simultaneously, their lead single Swim defended their No. 2 position, marking its eighth week close to the summit since April. However, Swim dropped to No. 7 from No. 5 on the separate Billboard chart titled Global 200.
The dual top-five presence showcases the lasting commercial leverage of BTS’ March album, ARIRANG, especially with the Come Over track, which portrays a successful physical-to-digital release window. Notably, the track amassed 25.1 million streams and 29,000 downloads outside the US after its June 12 digital release. The track was previously only available on the album's deluxe physical vinyl edition. The release successfully re-engaged the market to challenge major summer drops from Western pop mainstays.
BTS Keeps Pace with Olivia Rodrigo on Billboard
Even as Olivia Rodrigo’s Stupid Song claimed the No. 1 spot on both the Global 200 and Global Excl US charts with 39.8M international streams, the Seoul-based group remains the highlight. Notably, Rodrigo’s entries ties her with Bad Bunny for the third-most No. 1s since the global indices launched in September 2020, trailing only behind Taylor Swift’s seven and BTS’ field-leading eight No. 1s.
Elsewhere in the Global Excl US tier, Ariana Grande’s Hate That I Made You Love Me dropped to No. 3 after a two-week run at the peak, and Jennie’s song Dracula with Tame Impala landed at No. 10, after dropping from its earlier position of No. 6.
Football Anthems Gain Billboard Momentum
The global charts also captured bolstering momentum of global sporting events. Driven by an 88% streaming surge, Shakira and Burna Boy’s Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026) shot from No. 23 to No. 7. According to Billboard, the football anthem is only the second in chart history to reach the top 10, directly following BTS member Jungkook’s 2022 FIFA song Dreamers. This cemented the group's institutional footprint throughout both pop and sports entertainment scenarios.
Notably, Shakira is going to headline the halftime show of FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside BTS and Madonna. BTS will be taking part in the remarkable stage as they begin touring for the European leg of the ARIRANG World Tour, before moving to Asia-Australia leg in the latter half of the year.
