Comic Con India Brings its First Jaipur Event in January 2026

Comic Con India is set to debut its highly anticipated Jaipur edition from January 4–6, 2026, marking a transformative moment for Rajasthan’s growing creative economy. Organized in partnership with the Government of Rajasthan under its AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) Policy, the inaugural Jaipur Comic Con aligns with DigiFest, bringing together fans, creators, tech enthusiasts, and innovators at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC).
Comic Con Jaipur to Bridge Pop Culture and Technology
“This collaboration, supported by the Government of Rajasthan, under the Rajasthan iStart Program aims to promote local talent under its state AVGC Policy focuses on promoting local talent and driving employment generation by leveraging platforms like Comic Con to showcase Rajasthan’s creators, studios, and startups in animation, gaming, and comics,” said Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Convenor TiE Global Summit. The addition of Comic Con to DigiFest is expected to spark creative celebration and highlight Rajasthan’s commitment to youth engagement and innovation.
Jaipur’s rich legacy in art and storytelling provides the perfect backdrop for Comic Con’s newest home. “Jaipur has always struck me as a city built on vivid imagination. From the jharokhas of Hawa Mahal to the mirrors of Sheesh Mahal and the stories etched into the walls of Amer Fort, creativity lives in every detail here,” said Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and MD, NODWIN Gaming.
Visitors will be able to explore new comic releases, manga, interactive fan zones, gaming arenas, and cutting-edge VR installations. The vibrant programme includes workshops, panel discussions, sessions with leading creators and industry experts, and a merchandise zone showcasing global and Indian artists.
Fans can expect cosplay competitions, featuring genres from anime and sci-fi to local favorites like Suppandi and Chacha Chaudhary. Past Comic Con India gatherings have welcomed international stars alongside the best of Indian pop culture, further blending tradition with new media and creativity.
Commenting on the event, Comic Con India CEO Shefali Johnson stated, “Our goal has always been to bring fans closer to the stories and creators they love. Jaipur, with its rich cultural legacy and youthful energy, is the perfect destination to host our first-ever Jaipur edition. Together with the State Government of Rajasthan and Rajasthan DigiFest, we are creating an event that celebrates both tradition and the future.”
