Highlights

  • Mushoku Tensei season 3 premiered in early July 2026, with a two-episode debut.
  • Fans can watch the new season on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Muse Asia, and other regional streaming platforms.
  • While the total episode count remains unconfirmed, reports suggest the first cour could feature at least 14 episodes.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has returned with its third season, now available on streaming following the anime’s Summer 2026 premiere on July 4 (8 pm JST). Season 3 opened not with protagonist Rudeus Greyrat but with the Eris Training Arc, a side story tracking Eris Boreas Greyrat’s journey.

Episode 1, Burn Bright, Mad Dog, and Episode 2, Howl, Mad Dog, aired back to back in Japan during the premiere of Mushoku Tensei season 3. Early audience reception has been largely positive across anime communities, with viewers praising the season’s animation and narrative pacing. Both episodes have generated over 8.5 ratings on IMDb following their release.

Mushoku Tensei season 3 premiere lands nearly two years after Mushoku Tensei season 2 ended in June 2024, marking the longest gap between seasons in the franchise’s history. The next episode, Kaettekita Nichijo (JP), is currently scheduled to drop next week, on July 12.

Where to Watch Mushoku Tensei Season 3

Crunchyroll is simulcasting Mushoku Tensei season 3 from July 5 in most international territories as part of its Summer 2026 lineup. The streamer is releasing the weekly episodes across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Oceania, and the CIS.

In Japan, Mushoku Tensei season 3 airs on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and other affiliated broadcasters before becoming available on domestic streaming platforms. Muse Asia carries it across selected South and Southeast Asian regions via its official YouTube channel and also licenses the property to other streamers.

Netflix is also streaming the new season. Apart from Netflix, other streaming platforms, including Bilibili, MyTV, and iQIYI, are also streaming the third season of Mushoku Tensei.

When to Watch New Episodes of Mushoku Tensei

The first two episodes of Mushoku Tensei season 3 aired in Japan on July 4 at 8 pm JST, ahead of its regular Sunday slot. From episode 3 onward, new episodes will drop weekly at 12 am JST in Japan.

Episode 3 will be released on Sunday, July 12, at 11 am ET, 8 am PT, and 8:30 pm IST, globally.

How Many Episodes Will Season 3 Have?

Mushoku Tensei production committee has not officially confirmed the total episode count for the current season. However, based on the two-cour pattern of seasons 1 (11 and 12 episodes) and 2 (13 and 12 episodes), fans and industry speculations are leaning towards a similar pattern.

On the other hand, The Economics Times reported that Mushoku Tensei season 3 will have at least 14 episodes in its first cour run. The count is based on the Blu-Ray listings; the season’s second Blu-Ray volume will reportedly have episodes 8 to 14.

Season 3 continues adapting Rifujin na Magonote’s light novel following the conclusion of the Labyrinth Arc in season 2. After rescuing Zenith and returning home, Rudeus enters a new adulthood stage while balancing family responsibilities, his research, and the political background of the story.

Mushoku Tensei season 3 also expands the narrative with Eris’ journey after her absence from the plot.  The third season return places Mushoku Tensei alongside other high-profile Summer 2026 titles vying for attention. The season also premieres BLACK TORCH and Tomb Raider King, with new seasons of Saga of Tanya the Evil, Link Click, and Grand Blue Dreaming.
