Crunchyroll Expands Summer 2026 Anime Lineup With 13 New Titles

Crunchyroll has expanded its Summer 2026 anime lineup by adding 13 more simulcast titles, including Red River, Draw This, Then Die!, and returning titles with new seasons. The update, published June 30, builds on the platform’s initial Summer 2026 announcement made on June 17, which introduced more than 40 new and returning anime.

The previously confirmed anime lineup focused on franchise sequels such as Mushoku Tensei season 3 and Saga of Tanya the Evil season 2, alongside new adaptations like Black Torch, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You, and Jaadugar. With the new wave, the streamer has added some of the most trending anime titles that were announced to release in 2026.

Crunchyroll Summer 2026 Anime Lineup: All New Titles Rolling Out

Among the new Summer anime is ONE PIECE HEROINES, a spinoff tied to one of Crunchyroll’s biggest franchises. Other marquee additions include BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA, a new entry in Bushiroad’s girl-band franchise, and the third seasons of both Link Click and Grand Blue Dreaming. 

On the other hand, Crunchyroll has also secured rights for two Shogakukan Manga Award-winning manga’s anime adaptations (Red River and Draw This, Then Die!). Among them is the first television adaptation of Chie Shinohara’s classic shojo manga Red River.

Similar to its previous Summer anime, the newly added ones also have regional availability. Crunchyroll is geo-blocked in Japan, so it doesn’t stream in anime’s origin country despite having one of the largest anime streaming libraries. Apart from Japan, Crunchyroll also remains unavailable in some other countries, including Russia, China, and Belarus.

Crunchyroll’s current release slate includes more than 65 anime titles, including the anime that will continue in the Summer 2026 season from the Spring lineup. Spring's hit anime, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, adapted from Fullmetal Alchemist author Hiromu Arakawa’s latest manga, returns with Cour 2 on July 4 as well.

Season 4 of the platform’s popular isekai fantasies, Reincarnated as a Slime and Re:ZERO, will also continue during the Summer season. The newly added titles also lean heavily on fantasy-focused titles, while keeping genre variety with titles like Draw This, Then Die! and Let's go KAIKIGUMI.

With the latest expansion, Crunchyroll enters the Summer 2026 season with one of its heaviest simulcast offerings to date. It also helps the streamer compete with rival platforms carrying their own exclusive summer titles, including Netflix’s Sparks of Tomorrow and Amazon Prime Video’s new Ghost in the Shell series.
