Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 Unveils New PV & More for Cour 2

The That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 4 staff released a new promotional video (PV), key visual, and theme songs for the second cour on June 18. The second cour will start airing from July 3, at 11:00 pm JST (stream), three months after the first cour’s release.

The new key visual is captioned ‘Cycles of Reincarnation, and then Awakening,’ shifting in tone from the first cour’s visual, which featured Rimuru, Maribel, and Yuuki. The second visual centers on Chronoa, teasing the major character’s awakening.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’s cour 2 key visual also focuses on Hinata Sakaguchi and Granbell Rozzo, while also featuring Ultima, Testarossa, Rimuru, and Carrera. Additionally, the second PV traces the narrative arc heading into the season’s midpoint, previewing major characters taking center stage in the upcoming episodes.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 4 second cour continues Rimuru’s effort to build a “Human-Monster Co-prosperity Sphere,” which started in the first cour. The promotional video highlights that season 4’s second cour will focus heavily on international tensions rather than purely monster-versus-monster battles.

The footage glimpses diplomatic negotiations featuring Rozzo, military mobilization, and confrontations involving neighboring nations. It also offers footage involving Diablo, Yuuki, and Rimuru in action-heavy fighting sequences.

Reincarnated as a Slime production committee also confirmed a new opening and ending theme lineup for the second cour. Japanese singer and rapper Daoko will perform the opening song TACTIC, while singer-voice actor Azusa Tadokoro will create the ending theme, Hymnal.

The Season’s Unprecedented Five-Cour Run

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime's fourth season will air for a total of five cours. This distribution pattern is usually observed for long-running shonen properties and is rare for modern light novel adaptations. Crunchyroll streams the anime in nine territories, including the Americas, CIS, and Southeast Asia.

Reincarnated as a Slime, serialized from 2013 to 2016, remains the publishing platform Shousetsuka ni Narou’s leading isekai property. The first season of the anime aired in 2018, and since then, it has been one of the most sought-after isekai anime across the global anime market. The franchise's latest movie, The Tears of the Azure Sea, will get its Blu-ray release on Sep 25, 2026, in Japan.
