Energy drink brand Red Bull has entered a new esports partnership with MOONTON Games, signing as an official partner for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship. The announcement, circulated on Jan 8, 2026, marks the first time Red Bull collaborated with the MLBB M series as its “Official Energy Drink” partner.

The partnership is designed around live-event and fan-facing festival programming, rather than a competitive framework. As per the announcement, the famous energy drink company will bring “World of Red Bull” within M7’s entertainment and fan activities with “a shared love of competition, thrill, and live experiences.”

In a statement accompanying the announcement, Ringo Lung, MOONTON Games’ Senior Regional Esports Sales Manager, said the collaboration reflects a shared ambition to elevate the live spectacle of gaming and esports ecosystems. Lung framed the deal as a way to “craft experiences that rival traditional sports in scale and excitement,” emphasizing Red Bull’s track record in blending esports competition with immersive experiences, cultural, and live performances.

Red Bull Activations at the M7 Carnival and Gaming Ground

MOONTON has promoted the partnership with the tagline, “Giving Wiiings to the M7 celebrations.” As part of the agreement, Red Bull will facilitate activations across two major fan programs: the M7 Carnival and the Gaming Ground at M7, both staged in parallel with the championship’s final phases.

The M7 Carnival is positioned as a three-day fan festival featuring live music performances, creator appearances, and DJ showcases. Apart from Red Bull’s “exclusive live performances,” prominent local artists, such as Jemsii and Naykilla, known for their soulful take on hip-dut, Dipha Barus and DJ VILOID will take up the main event stage.

Complementing this is the M7 Gaming Ground, a dedicated esports and gaming space where attendees can participate in “interactive competitions and exclusive activations.” Red Bull’s presence will include a branded Red Bull Energy Zone, featuring live performances and a Red Bull Bar, serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Along with the Red Bull Energy Zone, a separate Entertainment Arena will feature a Red Bull Event Car and a branded Gaming Zone, replicating the intensity of professional tournaments. Attendees can participate and win prizes here while getting a glimpse of the main stage of the M7 World Championship.

While Red Bull has a prominent esports presence, the recent partnership with M7 World Championship positions the brand with one of the world's most popular mobile Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) titles, which was “2024's most-watched mobile esports,” according to the data-tracking platform, Esports Charts.

The M7 World Championship is running from Jan 3 to Jan 25 in Jakarta, featuring top teams from multiple regions competing for a reported $1 million USD prize pool. As of this week, the tournament has progressed into its Swiss Stage, with the Knockout Stage scheduled to start on Jan 18, 2026.
