KRAFTON India’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) partnership introduces franchise-driven content into Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The content arrives as part of the BGMI 4.3 update, released ahead of the 2026 league season.

The collaboration builds on KRAFTON India’s push to connect gaming with cricket audiences. It follows the company’s earlier tie-up with Yashasvi Jaiswal for Real Cricket.

KRAFTON India's IPL Collaboration Brings Cricket Fandom into BGMI Gameplay

At the core of the BGMI’s CSK and KKR collaboration are two ad films rooted in everyday fan behavior. The CSK film follows four BGMI players struggling to coordinate until a familiar match moment shifts their gameplay into sync. Meanwhile, the KKR film shows a group navigating daily situations before coming together for a match, where the signature KKR chant “Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo” underscores team identity.

Alongside the films, the BGMI 4.3 update introduces in-game locations, vehicle skins, franchise-themed outfits, and reward-based features linked to both teams. These additions position the game as a shared space for fans across cities and franchises.

Head of Business Development and Partnerships at KRAFTON India, Seddharth Merrotra, stated the films reflect “the chaos, the arguments, the moment the match turns.” He added that CSK and KKR represent different cultures but share the same level of fan passion, with BGMI bringing those worlds together.

The KRAFTON India IPL collaboration rollout highlights a growing trend of gaming platforms embedding sports ecosystems. The announcement comes ahead of BGIS 2026 in Chennai, indicating a timing strategy aimed at capturing fan attention around major esports and cricket events.
