The global live entertainment market has become a high-stakes stadium race between country music and K-pop. As per the latest Pollstar LIVE75 chart data for May 22, 2026, country titan Luke Combs and K-pop juggernaut BTS have secured the top two spots, outpacing other top artists like Olivia Dean, NE-YO, Akon, No Doubt, Bruce Springsteen, and Tame Impala.
Combs took the No. 1 position, averaging 83,272 tickets across four reported dates for his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour. BTS comes at No. 2; the group notably averaged 50,862 tickets over 13 shows of their ARIRANG World Tour. Although Combs had superior attendance, BTS locked in an even better monetization. The group reportedly grossed $10.74 million USD against Combs’ $9.81M, backed with perfect 100% venue sell-outs.
ARIRANG Tour’s Blockbuster Start
The performance of BTS’ ARIRANG World Tour, their biggest post-military comeback effort, is particularly striking, since it has only been a month since the tour began. The HYBE rollout spans over 80 shows across 34 cities all over the world.
Previously, Reuters reported that the tour is projected to yield around $1.8B, making it one of history's most commercially valuable show sets. Early Billboard Boxscore data also revealed a similar emerging trend. Billboard claimed that the group had already attained $124M from just 10 dates, anchored by its three-night residency in Tampa, which brought in $40.7M in revenue from a 194,000-ticket sale. The trajectory easily surpasses their earlier Love Yourself tour, which recorded total earnings of $213.9M. Notably, Billboard expects that BTS’ ARIRANG World Tour could potentially surpass the $500M threshold, making this tour their career best.
Country Music Faces K-pop’s Global Scale
Meanwhile, Combs retains his popularity in North America. According to Pollstar, Combs’ stadium runs opened with nightly crowds topping 60,000, selling out university venues across Virginia and Iowa. Nevertheless, Pollstar data highlights a broader macroeconomic shift. As streaming metrics and physical touring match each other, it is revealed that the traditional Western dominance is facing direct competition from Asian acts, and in this case, BTS. With the contemporary live market adhering less to genre boundaries, more acts are becoming capable of mobilizing massive, global fan communities in real time.
