Indian anime fans can now watch The World Is Dancing legally for free as Muse India has added the Noh-inspired anime to its Summer 2026 lineup. The distributor began streaming the series on its official YouTube channel across selected Asian regions, ahead of the anime’s Japanese premiere on July 2, 2026.
Muse Asia began streaming The World Is Dancing anime on June 29 across Bangladesh, Laos, Bhutan, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Brunei, at 9:30 pm (GMT+8). The addition gives Asian, including Indian, audiences free access to one of the highly anticipated summer titles.
The TV anime centers around Oniyasha, who grows up to become Zeami Motokiyo, the historical Noh theater artist and theorist. The World Is Dancing’s narrative follows a young Oniyasha born into 14th-century Japan and how he found his creative calling.
How and When to watch The World Is Dancing in India
As mentioned, Muse India will stream The World Is Dancing anime for free on YouTube with new episodes releasing weekly. According to Muse's official post, the anime will premiere on the channel on July 29, at 9:30 pm (GMT+8) in India, one month after Muse's first rollout.
On three June 28 released Promotional Videos (PV) for The World Is Dancing, Muse India noted the anime will premiere the next day, on June 29, like other Asian countries. However, it hasn't dropped on the channel, as of writing.
Muse India is a sister platform to Muse Asia and has become one of the country’s primary outlets for free anime distribution. Apart from Muse, Amazon Prime is also distributing the anime via licensing it through its Anime Times channel, which requires a purchase separate from a Prime Video subscription.
Muse Asia Expands Anime’s Regional Access in Asia
The move is part of Muse Communication’s strategy of offering ad-supported anime streams across Asian territories while expanding its seasonal catalog. The Taiwan-based licensing company is also bringing other Summer titles, including Mushoku Tensei season 3, Black Torch, and the like.
In addition to streaming The World Is Dancing anime on its YouTube channel, Muse has licensed the anime across six more platforms, including True Visions Now, MyTV, Anime Times, and Filmbridge. Since the anime does not have a single dedicated streaming licensor, Muse’s initiative becomes the most viable option for Asian audiences.
Muse has gradually become one of Asia’s largest anime licensors, operating dedicated YouTube channels and licensing services across territories including India, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and other Asian markets. Outside Muse’s territory, HIDIVE is streaming the anime across some key international markets, such as North America, Australia, and New Zealand.
Based on Kazuto Mihara’s manga, The World Is Dancing TV anime comes with significant industry recognition. The anime had its world premiere at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) on June 6, and won a Special Award before its debut.
The World Is Dancing also screened the second episode on July 2 at the Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles. The anime, directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, is animated by Cypic, the CyberAgent subsidiary studio handling the Kagurabachi anime adaptation.
Nonetheless, for a niche, dialogue-heavy series built around the inception of Noh theater, Muse’s no-cost access matters. It lowers the barrier for Indian and broader Asian viewers less familiar with the genre to sample a show critics have praised for its historical depth, and gives The World Is Dancing anime a chance to reach a wider audience without depending on a new subscription plan.
