Highlights

  • Dragon’s Dogma 2 crosses 4M sales as of Nov. 5, adding over 100k units since Sept. 30.
  • Holds a “Mixed” Steam rating, with 61% positive reviews and ongoing performance complaints.
  • Capcom’s DLC survey raised expectations, but no updates have followed after director Hideaki Itsuno’s exit.

Capcom has confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has sold more than 4M units as of Nov. 5, 2025, extending the momentum of the action RPG despite mixed community reception.

The updated figure shows that the game has added just over 100k units since Sept. 30, 2025, when Capcom’s Platinum Titles list recorded sales at 3.9M. Despite strong launch reviews, ongoing performance issues have pushed the game to a “Mixed” rating on Steam, where only 61% of almost 73k user reviews are positive.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Sales and Player Review Trends

Players continue to report CPU load issues, uneven frame rates, and limited enemy variety. Recent patches improved performance and added graphics and performance modes on consoles, but many reviews say the changes were gradual and left key concerns unresolved.

Meanwhile, in its announcement on X, the studio thanked fans, writing that it was “grateful to share the immersive fantasy world of Dragon’s Dogma 2” with “4M Arisen” worldwide.

Capcom’s earlier DLC survey raised hopes for an expansion, but no updates have followed. Communication has slowed since director Hideaki Itsuno’s departure, leaving fans unsure whether post-launch content is still in development or has stalled.

Even so, Dragon’s Dogma 2 continues to perform well commercially and stands as one of Capcom’s stronger recent releases. Its ability to generate huge sales despite mixed feedback highlights the series’ global appeal, while the lack of clarity around DLC leaves players waiting for a clearer signal about its long-term future.
