Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Crossovers: Spider-Man & More

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, titled Runners, is reaching its mid-season turning point, and Epic Games is opening the floodgates for one of the most crossover-heavy periods in battle royale history. Starting with the upcoming v41.20 update and continuing across the broader mid-season roadmap, the pipeline of incoming collaborations shows absolutely no signs of slowing down, flooding player lockers and the island with comic book legends, television icons, and video game favorites to turn the remainder of the season into a nonstop celebration of pop culture.

Leading the charge for comic book fans in patch v41.20 is a massive DC Comics crossover event dubbed DC Hot Bat Summer. Already underway and continuing throughout the summer, this Gotham-centric rollout brings fresh playable skins for iconic characters including Batman, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy. The update also introduces Ace the Bat-Hound as an in-game sidekick, the legendary Batmobile as a drivable vehicle body, a dedicated Batman Sprite, and returning mobility items like the Batman Grapnel Gun.

Directly rivaling DC's presence is Marvel's web-slinger, arriving to celebrate the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, 2026. This crossover delivers a brand-new outfit and a special Spider-Man Sprite expected to introduce a web-swinging Sprite Net mechanic to the battlefield.

Classic slapstick animation and modern music pop culture are also getting major nods in the upcoming rotation. The iconic cat-and-mouse duo Tom and Jerry are heading to the island in the near future, following the successful blueprint set by Looney Tunes earlier in Chapter 7 Season 2. Meanwhile, one of the season’s most unexpected and talked-about leaks points to a SpongeBob SquarePants crossover featuring a themed skin for rapper Ice Spice, cleverly bridging Nickelodeon nostalgia with her real-world association with the brand.

John Wick and Video Game Crossovers

At the same time, John Wick is stepping back into the spotlight with a comic-inspired Pen & Ink variant available directly through the Runners Battle Pass, which will soon be complemented by a dedicated Baba Yaga Sprite to help players channel the legendary assassin during matches. Video game crossovers remain a cornerstone of the season's ongoing slate, highlighted by an anticipated collaboration with the stealth-horror hit Hello Neighbor. Development studio tinyBuild publicly acknowledged fan demand and confirmed they are looking into a crossover, an interaction that historically serves as an early signal for a forthcoming Item Shop release later in the season.

Action RPG fans can also look forward to content from S-Game's highly hyped hack-and-slash title Phantom Blade Zero, though release timing could potentially be pushed back to align with the game's launch later this year in October, as per TOI. 

Rounding out the season's packed schedule is an array of industry partnerships, nostalgic franchises, and mysterious teasers pointing toward the future of the game. Epic Games is expanding its studio collaborations with Remedy Entertainment's Control Resonant, MintRocket's hit Dave the Diver, and titles from Kakao Games, alongside indie favorites like Ember & Blade, Kernel Hearts, Goals, and Rematch. 

Finally, Epic has officially shared teasers for the horror project Obsession, which may be held back for a Halloween event if it does not drop before Season 3 concludes, while classic franchises like Masters of the Universe and a massive Disney Universe initiative continue bubbling in the pipeline for future updates.
