Highlights

  • Gachiakuta expands into gaming with GACHIAKUTA: The Game, a console and PC action RPG developed by Com2uS.
  • Set in the series’ Abyss setting, the game teases close-combat gameplay inspired by the anime’s Giver abilities and characters.
  • Aligning the RPG announcement with Gachiakuta season 2 confirmation, GACHIAKUTA: The Game reinforces the franchise’s multi-platform growth and global reach.

Popular dark-fantasy series Gachiakuta is expanding beyond manga and television with a newly announced action Role-Playing Game (RPG), GACHIAKUTA: The Game, for console and PC. The game was formally revealed on Dec 21, 2025, with a visual trailer.

The title is positioned as a survival action RPG set in the same dystopian world as the anime and manga, with players navigating hostile environments inspired by the series’ “Abyss” setting. While a release window has not been disclosed, the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) update confirmed the game is in active development, with more details expected in due time.

The game is aimed for a cross-platform launch across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam).

The announcement builds on Gachiakuta’s rapid rise since its anime debut in 2025. The series is deemed unique due to its graffiti-influenced designs and heavy social-class allegory. Created in collaboration with manga artist Kei Urana and graffiti designer Hideyoshi Andou, the animated series captivated a niche fanbase after its launch and has already been renewed for a second anime season, reinforcing its momentum across media.

Gachiakuta: From Anime to RPG

The official announcement stated the game’s narrative as, “Crawl back from the abyss of Hell to change this lousy world!.” While the exact gameplay mechanics weren’t announced, the trailer emphasized close-quarter combat, set across the decaying industrial spaces of the Abyss. Weapon mechanics seem to be closely inspired by the anime’s signature Giver ability, “anima-based” power system.

The footage also showed the Givers fighting trash beasts, hinting that not only protagonist Rudo, but other notable characters such as Enjin, Zanka, and Riyo will appear in the game as playable characters.

The project also represents a significant scale expansion for its developer, Com2uS, known for long-running live-service mobile games like Summoners War. Aiming a cross-platform launch for GACHIAKUTA: The Game places the company in more direct competition with Japanese and Western studios that specialize in narrative-driven action RPGs.

The Gachiakuta RPG arrives amid a broad industry trend of adapting action anime franchises like Bleach and Solo Leveling into large-scale RPGs. The announcement timing is also significant for the franchise. With Gachiakuta season 2 already confirmed, the game positions itself as a parallel engagement strategy, attracting a wider and more diverse fanbase.
