Honor of Kings Adds DAN DA DAN Event During World Cup 2026

Honor of Kings has rolled out one of its biggest updates of 2026, bringing together a global esports tournament, a month-long DAN DA DAN collaboration, and a mid-season gameplay patch. The August update introduces exclusive anime-themed cosmetics, limited-time rewards, and hero balance changes while the game's top teams compete on the international stage.

The Honor of Kings World Cup 2026 is underway at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from Aug 4-8. The S-Tier tournament features 20 international teams battling for a $3.025 million USD prize pool. A global hero pool has also been introduced, requiring teams to constantly adjust their draft strategies throughout the championship bracket.

DAN DA DAN Collaboration Adds Rewards, Skins, and Themed Cosmetics

The DAN DA DAN event began on Aug 3 and runs through Aug 31. It introduces Mozi as Jiji, Lam as Okarun, and Daji as Momo. A fourth collaboration skin is also scheduled to arrive on Aug 13.

Lam and Mozi skins are available through the Wish Event. Players spend Event Tokens to perform draws, which award Redemption Coins and other rewards. Each skin can be redeemed for 498 Redemption Coins. Direct skin drop rates remain low, with Lam at 0.2% before August 7 and both skins dropping to 0.1% after Mozi joins the event.

Meanwhile, Daji's Momo skin can be unlocked without spending premium currency. Players need 12K Spiritual Power Redemption Coins, earned by logging in daily and completing event tasks. The collaboration also includes Turbo Granny minion skins, three Flowborn cosmetics, stickers, the Chiquitita Spriteling, themed Hero's Gorge map decorations, and two free player titles, As If I'd Believed You and Praise the Aliens.

Mid-Season Patch Updates Ranked Gameplay

The update also delivers several gameplay adjustments. Ao'yin's skill casting speed now scales with attack speed. Zilong gains increased ultimate range and an additional Induction Mark to strengthen his initiation. Arthur and Yang Jian receive balance adjustments aimed at improving Clash Lane matchups.

Together, the World Cup, crossover event, and gameplay changes make August 2026 one of Honor of Kings' busiest months for both competitive and casual players.
