Krafton Revenue Drivers: PUBG and New Titles
Krafton’s revenue mainly originated from mobile and PC platforms, both driven by PUBG IP performance. Mobile gaming accounted for ₩1.7407T ($1.19B) and PC titles contributed ₩1.1846T ($813.74M) in total revenue, while the remaining amount came from console and other businesses.
As per Krafton’s press release, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS was crucial for this growth. The title delivered its highest annual revenue on the PC platform, recording a 16% YoY growth in 2025. The title saw increased user engagement from new game modes and brand collaborations, such as a high-profile tie-in with automaker Porsche. The Porsche collab delivered the strongest performance among all other supercar collaborations to date.
Mobile titles PUBG MOBILE and BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) continued to expand paying user bases, with 5% and 27 % YoY increases, respectively. Krafton noted that local brand partnerships and “India-exclusive skins” helped sustain BGMI’s performance in the competitive Indian mobile market.
Cross-platform collaborations between PUBG PC and console, World of Wonder (WoW) UGC updates, and themed in-game modes, all contributed to the PUBG franchise’s sustained growth. Apart from Krafton’s key franchise, new games such as inZOI and MIMESIS each surpassed one million units sold following launches in March and October 2025, further expanding revenue sources.
Krafton’s Future Outlook
Krafton’s 2025 financial performance underscores the continued commercial viability of its PUBG franchise and mobile gaming. Looking ahead, Krafton has outlined a strategy focused on expanding the life cycle of its franchise IPs, while focusing on expanding its Franchise IP portfolio.
The company also aims to move towards emerging technologies, such as “future-facing AI innovation” and transitioning PUBG to a “PUBG 2.0” platform with Unreal Engine 5. Krafton further plans to introduce new titles under the franchise banner, such as “extraction shooter Black Budget, the top-down tactical shooter PUBG: BLINDSPOT, and the console battle royale Valor.”
