Nvidia GeForce Now India Launch Shifted to Q1 2026
Nvidia outlines shifting timelines and service tiers as it builds GeForce Now infrastructure in India
Highlights
- Nvidia shifts the GeForce Now India launch to Q1 2026, moving past the planned Nov. 2025 window.
- Local RTX-powered data center build-out underway, with timelines revised multiple times since CES and Gamescom 2025.
- The three-tier service model was confirmed globally, while India's pricing remains unannounced after its earlier ₹650 (approximately $7.30) monthly launch in 2017.
The Nvidia Corp. has postponed the India launch of ‘GeForce Now’ to the first quarter of 2026, moving past its previously announced Nov. 2025 window. The technology company, valued at about $4.29T, confirmed that servers are being built locally, and encouraged users to register for rollout updates. The shift marks the second major change since Nvidia announced its return at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025.
Nvidia initially stated that its first RTX 4080-powered data center for India would arrive in the first half of 2025, later revising this to “later this year” at Gamescom 2025. As November ends, Nvidia says it now “anticipate(s)” a January-March 2026 launch, indicating the schedule could shift again if development delays continue.
Nvidia GeForce Now India Delay and Service Details
The updated window follows the recent introduction of Xbox Cloud Gaming in India through Game Pass, alongside alternatives such as OnePlay already operating in the market. Nvidia’s delay creates additional room for competitors to strengthen their presence during the service’s absence.
Globally, GeForce Now is available in three tiers. Ultimate includes access to more than 4000 games, up to 8-hour sessions, 4K or 5K resolution depending on hardware, up to 360 FPS on RTX 5080 systems, ray tracing, DLSS 4, Cloud G-Sync, and multichannel audio. Performance offers six-hour sessions at up to 1440p and 60 FPS, while the free tier provides 1-hour sessions at 1080p with access to over 2K titles. Nvidia also offers monthly, annual, and day-pass options.
In India, the service was previously launched in 2017 at ₹650 (approximately $7.30) per month, although updated pricing has not yet been announced for the 2026 rollout.
The extended timeline may allow Nvidia to launch with RTX 5080-class servers, enhancing performance as it prepares to re-establish its cloud gaming presence in India after first entering the market in 2017.
