  • Rockstar Games launched the Cfx Marketplace on Jan. 12, 2026, formalizing paid and free mods for FiveM and RedM.
  • The Rockstar Games mods marketplace has bundles priced up to $389.99.
  • The launch reflects a shift in Rockstar’s approach to community mods, following its acquisition of Cfx.re.

Rockstar Games has launched an official mod marketplace for its roleplay server ecosystem, introducing paid and free mod distribution for FiveM and RedM. The new platform, called the Cfx Marketplace, officially went live on Jan. 12, 2026.

The marketplace is operated by Cfx.re and is described as “a curated digital storefront where talented FiveM/RedM creators can share and sell their work.”

At launch, the store features mods from about 16 selected creators, with another six listed as “coming soon.” Available content spans props, scripts, maps, and other tools designed for multiplayer roleplay servers.

Most listings on the Cfx Marketplace are paid, with individual premium mods, such as a theme park DLC, priced at $129.99, while creator bundles can cost up to $389.99. Cfx.re said the rollout will occur in phases to “ensure the best experience for both creators and server owners,” with additional creators added through an application-based expansion.

The Rockstar Games mod marketplace launch marks a significant change in Rockstar’s relationship with the FiveM and RedM communities, which support roleplay servers for Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2

In 2015, Rockstar and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, described FiveM as “an unauthorized alternate multiplayer server” that facilitated piracy.

That position evolved in 2022, when Rockstar publicly supported roleplay servers as “an extension of the rich array of community-created experiences,” while reaffirming rules that prevent players from commercially exploiting servers by selling in-game items for real-world money. In 2023, Rockstar acquired Cfx.re, which called the deal “a huge step forward in the growth of our community.”

A day after the marketplace launch, former Rockstar employees who allege they were fired for unionizing were denied interim pay at a preliminary U.K. employment tribunal after opting to challenge their dismissals.

The Cfx Marketplace formalizes Rockstar’s approach to community mods, placing the publisher directly at the center of mod distribution and monetization.
