CyberAgent and Shochiku announced the full schedule for Part 1 of the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour on June 3, spanning four prominent anime conventions. The tour opens at Anime Expo in Los Angeles (LA) on July 3, and runs across North America and Europe through August.

The initiative, branded as Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1, will move to Anime NYC, Japan Expo Paris, and AnimagiC in Germany, after opening in LA. Each stop will offer fans a first look at the first 20 minutes of Kagurabachi episode 1, roughly the length of a standard episode without its opening and ending themes.

The entire world tour is reported to culminate in Japan in Spring 2027, where the full first episode will be screened. Kagurabachi World Tour is designed to move through major international anime markets, meaning additional tour venues beyond Part 1 will be announced later.

Kagurabachi anime is produced by Cypic, the CyberAgent animation studio behind Umamusume: Cinderella Gray and The Summer Hikaru Died. Cypic rebranded from Cygames Pictures in early 2026. Naruto veteran Tetsuya Takeuchi is directing Kagurabachi.

Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1: Full Schedule

Kagurabachi World Tour strategy reflects an anime industry trend of using international convention premieres to build critical and cultural recognition for significant anime launches. CyberAgent President and CEO Takahiro Yamauchi stated in a company media brief from mid-May, that the production team aims to connect with local audiences and streamers with the World Tour initiative.

Select venues will also feature appearances and panel sessions with key production and editorial staff. Announced dates and venues for the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1 are:

The Anime Expo 2026 screening will include protagonist Chihiro’s voice actor Taihi Kimura, manga editor Takuro Imamura, and anime producer Koichi Yasuda. The Japan Expo Paris’ Kagurabachi anime panel will feature cross-media producer Riki Azuma along with Yasuda.

The international touring model, covering two U.S. cities and two European convention hubs, also reflects CyberAgent’s stated vision to create anime properties for international markets. The Kagurabachi IP comes with significant critical momentum; the manga won the Next Manga Award 2024 in the print category and has 4M cumulative copies in circulation.

Now, with the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour initiative, the production committee is trying to increase international visibility and create hype for non-manga readers before its April 2027 premiere. The Kagurabachi anime trailer depicts seamless high-action animation, but whether it matches the expectations will be seen once the full series airs.
