Crunchyroll Anime Nights theatrical program will offer North American audiences an early access Sneak Peek of three Summer 2026 anime on June 15, 2026. Apart from the three confirmed titles, the platform indicated that additional series may also screen on the night.

The Sneak Peek event is part of Crunchyroll Anime Nights, the monthly theatrical initiative operated in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. Screenings will begin at 7 pm local time across more than 280 theaters in the United States and Canada.

As of now, Crunchyroll has confirmed that Clevatess season 2, Skeleton Knight in Another World season 2, and Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games will be screened. Tickets are currently available on Fandango. According to the ticketing site, the Anime Nights program will run for 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Crunchyroll Anime Nights Sneak Peek: What’s Screening on June 15

The June Anime Nights Sneak Peek event will feature preview episodes from three upcoming TV series before their Japan debut in July. All screenings will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles.

All confirmed TV anime series to be screened:

Anime NameStreaming Release Date
Skeleton Knight in Another World (Season 2)July 2026
Clevatess (Season 2)July 2026
Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting GamesJuly 7, 2026

The screening includes two returning titles, Clevatess and Skeleton Knight. Clevatess season 2 continues the story of Dark Beast Lord Clevatess, whose fate becomes intertwined with humanity after a world-altering conflict. Skeleton Knight in Another World is a popular isekai, and the second season continues the story after Arc gets trapped inside his MMO character’s skeletal body in the game’s world.

The new anime title, Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games, is a high-school drama based on Eri Ejima’s manga. The manga follows Mitsuki Aya, a student whose idealized image of classmate Yorue Mio collapses after she learns Mio is a devoted fighting game player.

Crunchyroll Anime Nights Sneak Peek format arrives as anime theatrical events become a more deliberate part of streaming distribution strategy. The monthly theatrical program launched in October 2025 across 255 theaters through participating theater chains, including Cinemark, Regal, Cineplex, AMC, and Alamo Drafthouse.

“Anime Nights offers more than a screening,” said Crunchyroll Executive Vice President of Commerce Mitchel Berger at the launch, describing the initiative as a community experience that honors anime’s art form in a theatrical setting. Nonetheless, as streaming competition intensifies, early-access theatrical events are becoming a popular tool for attracting viewers and generating momentum before an anime hits streaming.
