  • Galaxy Corp has launched a 4.1-acre robot theme park in Seoul, indicating a change from artist management to tech-led framework.
  • The park debuted with 100 children, 70 with borderline intellectual functioning.
  • Galaxy Corp. CEO Choi Yong-ho frames the infrastructure as a testbed for exporting culture through a new “Entertech” model.

On Tuesday (May 5, 2026), the industrial horizon of Seoul’s Gangdong District expanded officially after the installation of a new, 4.1-acre landmark. Marking a sharp change from a traditional talent management company to a high-tech infrastructure. Galaxy Corporation, the entertainment house behind K-pop icons G-Dragon (BIGBANG), Taemin (SHINee), and actor Song Kang-ho, has launched a robot theme park, marking the world’s first.

A Robot Arena Blending K-pop Performance With Automation

According to a report by the Korea JoongAng Daily, Galaxy Corp’s facility will combine cultural exports from South Korea with advanced engineering through a theme-park-oriented “robot arena.” It includes interactive programming, where visitors can experience a variety of automated spectacles, spanning robot-led K-pop concerts to precision robot-drawing performances.

By bypassing a celebrity-laden opening, Galaxy Corp instead will invite 100 children to pilot the park’s attractions. Amongst them, 70 of the children had borderline intellectual functioning (BIF). This highlighted the venue’s focus on interactive accessibility, making the robots tools for engagement instead of being just novelties.

Galaxy Corp Positions Park as Blueprint for Global ‘Entertech’ Expansion

The Korea JoongAng Daily, Galaxy Corp Founder and CEO Choi Yong-ho, said, “The Galaxy robot park will be the starting point of robot culture expansion.” He characterized the park as a flagship for a new "cultural industry model" that the company intends to export. Choi also noted that although the venture begins in Seoul, they aim to get into the global market.

By establishing a physical area for robot-based performances, Galaxy Corp is betting on the next phase of the Korean Wave, which will be carried by humans as well as technology. The industry observers are watching the forthcoming evolution of the Gangdong park, which may serve as a live test case for this Entertech vision.
