Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle: Akaza’s Return has returned to theaters in India on March 6, with a limited re-release in SCREENX format across select multiplexes. The first release on Sep 12, 2025, grossed over ₹70 Cr. ($7.6 million USD) in India.
The re-run is being staged in major metropolitan markets including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Following Sony’s release strategy, screenings are offered in Japanese with English subtitles, as well as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and English dubbed versions.
Unlike the original release, the screenings are limited because SCREENX-capable auditoriums remain scarce in India, restricting the number of theaters that can exhibit the panoramic 270-degree projection format. Ticket prices are currently ranging between ₹150 to ₹499, depending on the city.
The Indian rerelease of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle coincides with the film’s broader international rerelease cycle. The distributor positioned the return to theaters alongside renewed North American theatrical screenings, reflecting a global strategy to maximize the box office revenue.
