Nazara Technologies is set to acquire 50% controlling stakes in Barcelona-based Bluetile and BestPlay Systems for a combined $100.3 million USD (INR 918 crores). The move expands its presence in mobile gaming and user engagement platforms. The deal was executed via Nazara Technologies UK and includes $88.4M for Bluetile and $11.9M for BestPlay.
It also carries earn-outs of up to INR 898 Cr ($98.2M), tied to performance between 2027 and 2029.
The company holds an option to acquire the remaining stake by 2028 at a valuation linked to 6.6 times trailing EBITDA. For the year ending December 2025, the combined business reported INR 1,405 Cr ($153.6M) in revenue and INR 254 crores ($27.7M) in EBITDA.
Bluetile operates 17 live games with 375M downloads and 22M monthly active users (MAUs). Its titles include Mahjong Voyage, Domino Legends, Yatzy, and Spade Stars.

Nazara Bluetile BestPlay Deal Strengthens AI-Driven Gaming Strategy
Nazara CEO, Nitish Mittersain, stated the acquisition adds capabilities across engagement, development, and distribution. He noted that it will “add meaningful synergies” to the company’s global platform.
Mittersain also mentioned Bluetile has embedded AI across marketing, development, and live operations, positioning it as a competitive advantage. He added that the deal marks a step toward building AI-enabled, globally scalable gaming businesses.
However, Bluetile GM, Raymond Stauffer, said joining Nazara provides access to “global scale, capital and strategic expertise,” enabling faster growth and portfolio expansion.
The planned acquisition builds on Nazara’s earlier purchases of UK-based Curve, publisher of Human: Fall Flat, and Fusebox, developer of Love Island: The Game. The addition of Bluetile’s scaled portfolio and BestPlay’s engagement system strengthens Nazara’s international footprint. It also reinforces its focus on mobile gaming and AI-led operations.
