Anime India Delhi 2026 will take place on June 6-7, 2026, at Yashobhoomi convention center, with Japanese voice actor Kazuhiko Inoue confirmed as a special guest. The event will mark its first Delhi edition as a part of Anime India’s nationwide framework, which started with Anime India Mumbai in 2025.
“We have a voice actor from Naruto coming as a special guest; the voice actor of Kakashi,” said Mishal Wanvari, Director of AnimationXpress and an executive of Anime India, during a media interaction with Outlook Respawn. Wanvari talked about the “legend,” Inoue's voice-acting career, which also includes the role of Monkey D Dragon from another Big3 anime, One Piece.
Wanvari and Neha Singhal Mehta, chief operating officer and co-founder of AnimationXpress, sat down for a chat with Outlook Respawn on Feb 15, 2026, at the latest edition of Anime India Kolkata. During the interaction, they emphasized Anime India’s national expansion while highlighting their vision that “Indian stories will travel the world.”
Everything to Look Out for at Anime India Delhi 2026 Edition
According to Wanvari and Mehta, the Delhi edition will expand beyond its current programming, including gaming activations and creator-focused activities. Organizers are also exploring tabletop and card game integrations alongside the current gaming lineup, which include Street Fighter, Pokémon Legends, and 2XKO.

“We want more Japanese games,” said Wanvari during the interaction, adding that the convention now aims to include “all kinds of Japanese games.” He noted that the Mumbai and Kolkata edition games “were easier to get.”
Wanvari said they wanted to start with anime games initially. With the convention expanding nationwide, they aim to broaden the catalogue with more titles such as “Japanese simulation games,” adventure games, and MMORPGs. They also emphasized, since the convention is Gen Z-focused, they want to increase the game variety across genres from Japan-only titles in the gaming arena for the upcoming edition.
For the upcoming Delhi edition, they highlighted that participants “might see a lot of esports,” spanning BGMI and other similar titles. Lastly, with the information about Inoue coming to Anime India Delhi 2026, the organizers are emphasizing Anime India’s effort to bring Japanese creators directly to Indian audiences while building a domestic creator ecosystem around anime-inspired storytelling.
The tickets for the event is available on Indian ticketing site, District, with price starting from INR 399 ($4.32 USD). There are also two different passes for '2-Day Exhibition Pass + Live House,' priced at INR 999 ($10.81) and INR 1,499 ($16.22), respectively.
