Honor of Kings Leads Revenues as Mobile Gaming Market Cools

Honor of Kings dominates revenue rankings, backed by the Chinese iOS markets, amidst the global cooldown of the mobile gaming sector.

  • Honor of Kings led the revenue sector at $134.3 million in October 2025.
  • Block Blast! topped downloads with 25.9 million installs, overtaking Roblox.
  • Roblox trailed in revenue as well, finishing at third.

Tencent's Honor of Kings solidified its position at the top, according to the October 2025 data of AppMagic. The analyst firm observed that despite a cooling mobile gaming market, Honor of Kings generated $134.3 million in global revenue. This achievement happened in the wake of a 4.8% decline in worldwide game installs, showing how robust live-ops and regional domination can counteract industry slowdown.

Honor of Kings Ruling the Mobile Gaming Market

As noted by AppMagic, China's iOS market accounted for over 98% of Honor of Kings' October income. The title's 10th anniversary celebrations, high-end skin drops, and regional live events all contributed to its strength by generating brief but impactful spending surges that only a few rivals could match. According to MobileGamer.biz, Honor of Kings has more than 260M monthly active users, maintaining its popularity even after almost ten years of its debut.

Honor of Kings continues to function more like an ecosystem than a game despite the cooling of the global mobile gaming market. The title’s consistent development cycle, e-sports circuit, and seasonal campaigns allow it to withstand swings that have weakened more recent competitors.

Block Blast! Tops in Download Charts

With 25.9M installs in October, Block Blast! surpassed Roblox to take the top spot in the download race, proving how simple puzzle games can quickly take center stage. Free Fire MAX came in second with 22.3M installs, followed by Roblox with 23.6M. X-Clash: Dare, an emerging competitor, made a good launch with 18.4M installs, indicating that creativity still helps user acquisition. However, retaining them is the real challenge.

Global user acquisition costs are increasing day by day, and discovery trends are also shifting towards more event-driven play. Amidst such situations, titles like Subway Surfers (14.5M installs) and Clash Royale (12M installs) continued to show their endurance and profitability.

Revenue Toppers Beyond Honor of Kings

With $125.5M USD, Last War: Survival, stood next to Honor of Kings in revenue, taking the second place. Both of these games have hosted Halloween-themed events and run regional advertising campaigns, prompting the curiosity of gamers.

Despite its platform safety issues, Roblox maintained its profitability and finished in the top three with $118.9M USD. And rounding off the top five, MONOPOLY GO! and Royal Match stood at fourth and fifth places, garnering about $109.6M USD and $106.9M USD in revenue, respectively.
