The State of Play 2026 presentation leaned heavily on catalog depth and brand continuity, pairing returning franchises with experimental formats such as side-scrollers, remasters, and cooperative expansions. Announcements also reflected a steady cadence of releases spread across the calendar rather than clustered launch windows.

With multiple trailers labeled as early looks and several projects lacking final release timing, the broadcast functioned as a progress update on Sony’s broader software slate. Further updates are expected in future presentations.
